More than 26 people were killed in NTPC boiler explosion took place on Wednesday afternoon in Raebareli in UP. It is the latest power generating unit at a state-run NTPC plant. Many were believed to be trapped inside the unit, the number of dead and injured rises and many of them suffered severe burns.
A massive fire broke out in the boiler pipe in the 500 MW power generating unit that commenced in March. The NTPC started a check out to determine the causes behind the blast, on the other hand, chief minister Yogi Adityananth declared 2 lakh rupees compensation to the family unit of persons killed and 50000 rs for the critically wounded.
Ina statement NTPC that is National Thermal Corporation has supposed that at unit number 6 of its Unchahar plant has some unexpected sound about 3 30 yesterday .this plant supply electricity to about nine states and employed up to 870 people. PM Modi alleged that this accident genuinely hurts him. On the other side, R.K.Singh Union power minister via social medium expressed his agony owing the loss of lives and alleged that he had instructed Managing director and chairman of NTPC Gurdeep Singh to rush to the site where the incident took place.
Approximately about eighty people were taken to NTPC hospital with minor injuries. NDRF, i.e. national disaster response Force squad, was also dispatched to explosions. An employee who is injured very severely alleged that unexpected hot gas along with ash engulfed him at the plant.
Sonia Gandhi also expressed shock regarding this incident at NDPC and supposed it has a ‘terrible tragedy’. She requested the authorities to offer instant medical help to injured and conveyed her condolences to families of them all.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also took a break from his campaign and is here today to meet the victims. He tweeted that ‘owing to the sudden incident I will visit Rae Bareli ‘.
