Uber Admitted for Silence on Cyber Attack that Showed 57 M Million People’s Information

Hackers stole personal data from about 57 million customers as well as drivers from Uber technologies. The current week the ride-hailing company threw out chief security officer, Joe Sullivan along with his deputies for keeping this massive breach, i.e. the hack under wraps.

On this Uber alleged that no security details, trip location information, credit card detail and other relevant information were taken.

Uber was negotiating with U.S regulators at the time of the incident and was investigating separate claims of privacy breach. Now Uber suppose that it had a lawful compulsion to report the hack to regulators and as well to drivers whose license numbers were in use. In spite of that company paid hackers to delete the information and data taken and to settle down the breach. Uber also supposed that it is believed that data was never utilized to reveal the identities of the attackers.

Numerous companies were successfully infiltrated by hackers nowadays, and Uber beach is dwarfed by those at MySpace, Yahoo, Target Corp, Equifax Inc and Anthem Inc. the violation is newest volatile scandal Khosrowshahi took over from his predecessor, Travis Kalanick.
