From today’s update, we got to know that one of the schoolboys was taken into custody on Monday night. One of the Delhi police sources told the public that “Delhi police has apprehended one minor boy in this case last night”. He further said that we are searching for the other hundreds of boys that were there in this Instagram group. It was also found that no parents came forward and complaint about this incident. Instead, of parents, the police officers took the action themselves. They filled a case under IT act on the basis of the posts shared, they said this is very shameful and every Instagram user sharing such dirty things should be taken in custody.
In another spate incident, it was clarified that the boys talked about gang-raping an underage girl and many other crude statements were seen in the screenshot of that chat. The police said that this is very terrifying, they are school going boys and taking about such crude things. Message promoting rape culture was also seen on Snapchat as well. Furthermore, the case has been filled by the Delhi police department for violating the use of social media.
