The Union Ministry of Home Affairs came out with the rules and regulations for Unlock 5 on Wednesday. There are so many relaxations that are going to be there for the people in this phase of Unlock. What are the big things that will open up in Unlock 5.0?
One of the biggest news for the people is that from October 15th, 2020 onwards all the cinemas, theaters, multiplexes, parks, swimming pools for training are going to be open. But the containment zones will not get all these relaxations, these relaxations are for the places that are totally fit and fine from COVID. Furthermore, Business to Business exhibitions is the other things that are going to open. One of the biggest aspects is states and UT’s are now allow to move towards the opening down of schools from October 15th, 2020.
Does the government allow people gatherings?
The restrictions on gatherings of people for social, academic, sports, entertainment have also been relaxed further. For outdoor spaces, the guidelines will not at all put any numerical cap. In closed spaces, that means under the ceiling around 200 people and half people of the capacity of venue are allowed from now onwards. However, masks, sanitizers, gloves, and other essentials are to arranged mandatorily because this will help in staying safe.
What are things that have changed from Unlock 4.0?
In Unlock 4, all the cinema halls, theaters, swimming pools, and schools access were under restriction as per the government guidelines. But in Unlock 5 phase these are things that are going to face relaxations. However, schools were given orders to open from the previous month only, but from the month of October, after evolving SOPs of their own 50% of teachers and students will be allowed to come for learning. Rest other students will remain home and continue with their online classes, students from classes 9 to 12 will start up their learning.
Previously the guidelines for social, academic, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious functions were cap at around 100 people. But from now onwards, half a people on the basis of venue capacity can come to the attend the functions. Therefore, these are the things that have changed from Unlock 4 phase. Hence, this Unlock 5 phase is going to be very much relaxing for the people. And they will be able to enjoy properly as the festive is around.
Can state and UT’s make changes in these guidelines?
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, states and UT’s cannot impose any additional lockdowns of anything else. However, they can make their own guidelines for containment zones but not for others. Similarly, the governments of state and UT’s have the responsibility to ensure a safe and proper environment at their place.
