As per the increasing number of COVID cases in the government has decided to extend the lockdown. But this time the lockdown is for the containment zones only that means strict lockdown is for those people who are living in the containment areas. Ergo, this can be considered as Lockdown 5.0 and this is going to be there in containment zones till June 30th, 2020.
The government has announced that the guidelines for lockdown 5.0 will come into effect from June 1st, 2020, and will be followed by people till June 30th, 2020. Therefore, this lockdown will be there in containment zones and the current phase of reopening will have economic focus. Moreover, this prime focus for reopening things will come under Unlock 1.0. Now, we would like to discuss the key highlights of fresh guidelines. Have a look, if you want to learn in details:
PHASE 1- The following activities are going to be opened in non-containment zones from June 8th, 2020. Ergo, the containment zones will remain closed.
- Religious places
- Hotels and Restaurants
- Shopping malls. These are the things going to be opened in non-containment zones from June 8th, 2020.
PHASE 2- Schools and other educational institutes will be reopened after the announcement of state and union territories. Therefore, they are going to open after keeping in mind the cases of states and Union territories. Hence, opening schools and educational institute’s decisions will be based on feedback and will be decided in the month of July.
PHASE 3- Dates are restarting and the following mentioned below will be decided after assessing up the situation.
- International air travel expects as permitted by MHA.
- Metro rail.
- Cinema halls, gyms, swimming pools, assembly halls, and other similar places.
- Social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, culture, religious, and other large congregations.
- Health Ministry will issue standard operating procedures for activities of Phase 1.
Lastly, we would like to say that the Lockdown in India got started from 25th March when India claimed to have around 5000 COVID patients but not it has reached around 1.73 lakhs patients. But now the government has decided to open the lockdown but in non-containment zones only as per the above-mentioned details. Ergo, strict lockdown 5.0 will be continued in the containment zones.
